Recruiter / Generalist

Business: SPS Technologies Aerospace Fasteners

Location: Jenkintown, Pennsylvania  19046

Reports to: Human Resources Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

We seek a highly charged individual to manage recruitment process from initial requisition through hire. This includes sourcing, screening, pre-employment checks, compliance, offer development and delivery. Partner with hiring managers to understand the skills and background required for each opportunity and provide expert advice and coaching to hiring managers throughout the recruitment process. Work closely with management teams to identify current and future staffing needs. Develop a constant pool of candidates for staff and management roles through networking and sourcing. In addition to placement of advertisements, utilize cold calling/direct recruitment, Internet mining, and other pro active recruitment methods to accomplish this goal.

This position will also handle employee relations issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints. Conducts exit interviews and analyses data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement. Develops and maintains affirmative action program, filed EEO-1 report annually and maintains other records and logs to conform to EEO regulations.

Represents the company for unemployment claims. Ability to manage a broad range of tasks including resolving complaints, counseling mangers and employees on the interpretation of policies and procedures. Ability to prepare written reports, correspondence and presentations to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • BA degree in Human Resources Management, or related field; master's degree a plus.
  • Five to seven years experience recruiting and generalist duties.
  • Strong preference to experience in a manufacturing, metals working environment.
  • Background in employment law and other government compliance regulations is preferred.

Proven track record of managing innovative recruiting initiatives and campaigns. Exemplary interpersonal, written, oral and organizational skills required. High energy with a stick to it attitude. Willingness to do what it takes to get the job done. Proficiency with PC, including MS Office. Ability to handle volume recruiting in a fast paced, structured environment, adhering to established guidelines. Must be able to manage competing demands, accept constructive feedback, while being extremely adaptable and flexible. Excellent relationship management skills to develop successful networks within management, staffing teams and HR leadership.
