The HY-PER Lockbolt fastening system is a high strength skin fastening system that provides excellent clamping force by using standard installation equipment. The tensile strength of HY-PER Lockbolts is generated by a buttressed locking groove design that consists of two dissimilar sets of annular grooves. The deeper set of locking grooves are located towards the point end of the bolt. This design permits a larger mass of collar material to be swaged into the deeper locking grooves to establish a permanent lock between fastener and collar.
