SPS Technologies Offers Solid Wall Stake Locked Studs That Can Withstand High Temperatures and High Torsion Loading
September 17 , 2004
JENKINTOWN, PA. – SPS Technologies, a leading manufacturer of high-strength fasteners and precision components, offers a line of solid wall stake locked studs for aerospace applications.
Features of the SPS stake locked studs include weight-savings, high temperature performance and ability to withstand high torsion loading. Integral stake driven into the parent material provide a positive mechanical lock to prevent torque-out. The studs are widely specified for component assemblies that cannot accept a through-bolt-and-nut combination. Typical uses include turbine engines and transmission/gear boxes.
The stake locked studs are available in #8 through 1" and 5mm to 12mm sizes, with UNJF, JNJC and metric nut end thread types. Titanium, Alloy 718, 4140 alloy steel, A286 and 303 stainless materials with cadmium finish are available. The inserts are manufactured to NASM and AS standards or specific customer requirements.
SPS product engineers, supported by a technical staff, are available to assist you with product design and material selection.
SPS Technologies supplies high-strength, fasteners for commercial and military aircraft, jet engines, high performance racing vehicles and other applications requiring reliability and consistent quality.
