SPS Technologies Self-Locking Nuts Meet Military Specifications
July 30, 2007
JENKINTOWN, PA - SPS Technologies offers a line of prevailing-torque locknuts that meet NASM-25027 (formerly MIL-N-25027) specifications. Designated FLEXLOC® nuts, these one-piece, all-metal self-locking nuts keep joints secure and bolts and screws at their proper preload. Additional standards for high temperature applications of up to 1200ºF meet the requirements of NASM-7873.
All threads on FLEXLOC nuts are load-bearing and resist loosening, even in severe applications. The result is greater reliability without the need for auxiliary locking devices. These nuts are available in materials that perform in temperatures ranging from sub-zero to 1200® F.
FLEXLOC nuts are available in UNJF or UNJC series and in a variety of configurations, materials and finishes for a wide range of applications. These include heavy-duty and light hex in both full- and thin-height, depending upon the configuration.
