Miniature Locknuts Use Triangular Displacement
January 22, 2010
Jenkintown, PA -- SPS Technologies offers a microsize version of its FLEXLOC® self-locking nuts for threaded joints (sizes #0 - #4) in small assemblies such as electronic equipment, instruments, radar and radio and missile applications.
Manufactured in a class 3B thread fit, the locknuts use triangular displacement of the threads for consistent locking. The threads are displaced inwardly to grip the bolt and resist rotation. Controlled locking torques provide accurate fastener preload. FLEXLOC microsize locknuts are available in plain, cadmium and zinc plated steel; plain and silver plated stainless steel, plain, cadmium and zinc plated naval brass; and plain and anodized aluminum.
